A dog team pulls a hunter and his passenger across the ice near Qaanaaq, Greenland. Dog teams are still the primary means of transportation in the small Inuit communities around Qaanaaq but their future is threatened by a changing climate - which shows itself in warming temperatures, earlier summers, later winters, and shrinking and thinning sea ice threatening the livelihoods and traditions of some of the last subsistence hunters on Earth, the Polar Inuit communities of far Northwest Greenland.
